Allah has named Himself Al-Mujeeb, which means the One who responds. Justas we are certain that the Qur'an is true, we must be certain that Allah, Al-Mujeeb, will answer our call. We should never think that Allah will not answer, because by feeling so, we are denying this attribute (siffat) of Allah. Allah may delay answering your prayer for a number of reasons; one is to test your trust in Him. We all say we believe Allah is the Al-Mujeeb when everythinglands at our feet, but what about when we don't immediately see the fruits of our du'a? I knew a woman who was telling the story of how her husband did not pray. When she married him, shedidn't know, and as the marriage progressed she discovered that he was skeptical of religion as well.So she would wake up every night for qiyam al-layl (the night prayer) and plead with Allah to guide Him. Do you know how long she prayed for? Two years. And she says it was so unexpected; he came home from a business trip with a complete change of heart. It turns out that on the plane he was seated next to a great sheikh who began talking to him. And that is how he changed. Allah does not place a burden on us greater than we can bear. If the answer to your du`a' has been delayed, it's because Allah KNOWS you can handle it. He tests those whom He loves, so keep asking and remember that Allah makes with hardship ease. And remember, as with tawakkul, we need to exerteffort as well
"Whatever Allah has decreed for His believing slave is a blessing even if that is in the form of withholding; it is a favour even if that is in the form of a trial, and the calamity decreed by him is fair even if it is painful." ~Imam Ibn Al Qayyim (Madarij al-Salikeen, 4/215)
Jabir radhiAllah 'anhu related that the Prophet salAllahu 'alayhi wasallam cursed the one who devours usury, its payer, itsscribe and its witnesses; and he said that they were all equal [in sin]. Related by Muslim

= GIVING PHOBIA A PROPER NAME ==
Phobias can be triggered by virtually anything underthe sun. These
irrational fears afflict millions. But modern therapeutic techniques
provide quick and reliable treatment for this once virtually
incurableform of mental illness.
Fears and anxieties grip us all periodically, but phobia generates
uncontrollable panic when there is no realdanger.
Typical symptoms are heart palpitations, shortness of breath, chest
pain, sweaty palms,"noodle legs", and dizziness.
Phobics could be"desensitised" if they were trained to relax and
gradually confront the phobia in their imaginations
Among phobias that have been named are:
1. Aerophobia - flying
2. Amaxophobia - vehicles, driving
3. Aquaphobia - water
4. Claustrophobia - closed spaces
5. Cynophobia - dogs
6. Gephyrophobia - bridges
7. Nyctophobia - darkness
8. Ochlophobia -crowds
9. Ophidiophobia - snakes
10. Phonophobia - speaking aloud
11. Pyrophobia - fire
12. Thanatophobia - death
13. Xenophobia - strangers/
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):
Once the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) remained behind us in a
journey. He joined us whilewe were performing ablution for the prayer
which was over-due. We were just passing wet hands over our feet (and not
washing them properly) so the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam)
addressed us in a loud voice and said twice or thrice: "Save your heels
from the fire."
Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 57
Nabi s.a.w. said,that
"I guarantee a house in Jannah for one who gives up arguing, even if
he is in the right; and I guarantee ahome in the middle of Jannah for
one who abandons lying even for the sake of fun; and I guarantee a
house in the highest part of Jannah for one who has good manners."
Certain people blaming you? Speaking ill of you? Not pleased with you?
Ponder over this:
A man said to al-Hasan al- Basri (RaHimullah): " The people sit around
you so that they may find fault with you!". So al-Basri(RaHimu llah)
replied: " Indeed, I encouraged my soul to aspire for Paradise, so it
aspired for it. Then I encouraged it to aspire for salvation from
Hellfire and so it aspired for it. Then I encouraged it to aspire for
salvation from the people, but I didn't find a way to that. Indeed,
the people were not pleased with their Creator although He provides
for them, so how can they be pleased with another creation like
themselves?"
